‘I’ll never say it’ – Luke Littler point blank refuses reporter’s request as he discusses World Championship win
LUKE LITTLER refused a reporter’s request after being crowned world champion.
The 17-year-old smashed Michael van Gerwen 7-3 in last night’s final to become the event’s youngest ever winner.

He said: “No. I don’t know [who], not me.”
But after picking up the Sid Waddell trophy, The Nuke was asked in his press conference: “Will you now tell us all if you are the best player in the world?”
Littler cheekily grinned and replied: “I won’t tell. I won’t say.
“Maybe stats-wise I might be the best. But I will never say it.”
As well as being crowned world champ, Littler clinched the Ballon d’Art for most 180s thrown at Ally Pally.
He hit a staggering 76 across his six matches.
That’s 20 more than Van Gerwen in second and 33 more than third-placed Callan Rydz.

And in the PDC Order of Merit, which takes into account cash won in the last two years in ranking events, Littler is now up to second despite only being on the tour for just 12 months.
Glory at World Championship saw him pocket a whopping £500,000.
Littler’s total career earnings are now up to £1.5million and ranking event cash is at £1.2m.
But Luke Humphries remains in front at the top of the PDC Order of Merit on £1.8m.
Van Gerwen, Rob Cross and Stephen Bunting complete the top five.
The biggest faller in the rankings was 2023 world champ Michael Smith, who dropped 14 spots to 16th.
