Lily Allen ‘doubted David Harbour relationship would go anywhere’ after confusing him for Love Island star on dating app
LILY Allen ‘doubted her relationship with David Harbour would go anywhere’ after confusing him for a Love Island star when they met on a dating app.
This week, it emerged Lily, 39, had been left devastated after discovering her husband, 49, has an active profile on Raya, where they first connected in 2019.

After hitting it off online, the pair quickly deleted their accounts and tied the knot in a low-key Las Vegas ceremony just a year later.
Reflecting on their first encounter, Lily shared: “It was the first time I’d been on this dating app. I was scrolling through and landed on David’s profile and pressed accept.
“I didn’t know who he was. I thought he was just like a sexy policeman from a reality TV show because he was wearing a policeman’s uniform.
“It was a still from Stranger Things. I’d never seen Stranger Things.”
Lily also explained she had no particular expectations when using the app, admitting: “I don’t even know what I was looking for. It was just something to do on holiday, swiping, it’s a bit of fun.”
The relationship began while David, 49, was in the UK filming Black Widow.
Initially, Lily assumed it wouldn’t last, saying: “When I met him I didn’t think it was going to go anywhere. He was here filming Black Widow. He was only going to be here for a couple of months. And then it did.”
Her comments have resurfaced as Lily recently turned amateur sleuth, speculating that David had been unfaithful before their Christmas split.
A source told the Mail: “Lily only rejoined Raya to try to figure out whether he was seeing someone.
“Lily has never even looked at anyone since she met David. She is devastated. He broke up with Lily a month ago. He was meant to be on holiday with her in Kenya over Christmas.”
They continued: “Lily was looking for women that were on Raya and cross-referencing them with women David follows on Instagram to try to figure out who he was seeing. She was doing her Wagatha thing.“
David’s alleged profile on the app shows the cartoon silhouette of what appears to be him smoking.
He states he’s an actor living in Atlanta but originally from New York and has the tag line: “Closet nerd that plays tough guys on your TV.”
His profile song is Led Zeppelin’s Houses of the Holy.
Raya is strictly managed, with only around 8 per cent of applicants successful and 100,000 people on its waiting list.
The information on David’s alleged account certainly tallies with his real life details.
He owns a house in Atlanta, which he bought to be closer to the set of Stranger Things, the fifth and final season of which is currently in the works.
Lily relocated to New York with David and her children Ethel Mary, 13, and Marnie Rose, 11, in 2020.
Her kids go to a private school in Brooklyn, New York.
The couple was last seen together in September at a game between the New York Jets and Denver Broncos at MetLife Stadium.
The rare public appearance came amid rumours their marriage was on the rocks.
Fans bombarded Lily with questions over the state of her marriage last year after she unfollowed David on social media – but she made light of their concerns.
When asked if they’d split, Lily, who has two daughters with ex-husband Sam Cooper, said: “Yes, I am divorced . . . from one marriage.
“But I am also in another marriage currently.”
An insider told The Sun at the time: “Lily and David have barely been together for the past three months and have been living separate lives.
“When she was in London for the Pillowman, David was spotted at one performance in July before Lily was left by herself.
“In her downtime, Lily would be with mates in London or her kids. When she went back to the US with them, there was no sign of David.”
