Masked Singer viewers convinced Pufferfish is huge US superstar singer after spotting clue
ITV viewers have once again been hooked on The Masked Singer, and they believe they’ve already ‘worked out’ who Pufferfish is.
Judges Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Maya Jama and Jonathan Ross were joined by Line of Duty star Vicky McClure to try and guess a group of new masked up stars on The Masked Singer.
Pufferfish was the first new singer to take to the stage, after being chosen by Jonathan Ross.
After performing Chappell Roan’s Good Luck, Babe! with an impressive set of vocals, many viewers were convinced they knew who could be behind the mask.
Taking to X, one viewer wrote: “Omg could Pufferfish actually be Alicia Keyes?!”
Another added: “‘Empire state’ so Alicia Keyes?”
“i haven’t got an idea with pufferfish yet. maybe alicia keys or jamie lynne spears,” said a third.
One viewer wasn’t sure who it could be, but has already earmarked Pufferfish as the potential winner as they wrote: “I don’t know who Pufferfish but I’m guessing they’re going to win #MaskedSingerUK.
“They can SING.“
One viewer joked: “Are we absolutely sure Pufferfish isn’t just Chappell Roan singing in a lower key to throw us off.”
After their performance Pufferfish dropped another clue, as they hinted: “Being puffed up all big can feel quite excessive, sometimes being small is just as effective.”
Pufferfish was the first up to sing after TV presenter Kate Garraway was unmasked as Spag Bol, after ITV viewers were left fuming that they had to wait until the Sunday night show to see them unmasked.
After she was revealed Kate laughed: “I can’t sing and I kept telling [the producers] that but they said it doesn’t matter.”
She also told that she kept the reveal a secret from her own children, Darcey and Billy.
Kate laughed: “The kids don’t know. Although they did catch me singing, and I said I’m doing something for charity and they said ‘I hope you raise a lot of money!'”
