ITV viewers have flocked to social media to share their theories over who they think Kingfisher really is.
The secret singing series returned to screens in January 2025, and it wasn’t long before fans of the show ‘worked out’ which star was hiding behind the Kingfisher costume – here’s all you need to know.
Who is Kingfisher on The Masked Singer 2025?
During their first stint on The Masked Singer stage, Kingfisher performed a rendition of The Rainbow Connection from The Muppet Movie.
The masked star has joined an impressive line-up of crazy characters, including Dressed Crab, Bush, and Bear – all of which will be hoping to join The Masked Singers winners list.
Celebrities including Danny Jones, Nicola Roberts, Natalie Imbruglia and Charlie Simpson have all been crowned winners of the show.
What are the clues?
As part of the popular guessing game, each masked star shares a selection of clues to help the judges and viewers uncover their identity.
Kingfisher’s clues so far include:
- An East End accent
- Dog treats
- A blue fish
- A net
- A radio
- A tag that reads Harry
- ”There’s nothing better than a nice, relaxing day down by the water.”
Kingfisher also shared a riddle which read: ”Fishing and planting, digging and mowing, to reap the rewards, you’d better get sowing.”
Who do the Masked Singer judges think Kingfisher could be?
So far, Kingfisher’s identity has remained a secret.
In a bid to unmask the star, judge Maya Jama threw Harry Redknapp into the mix and fellow judge Davina suggested that Paul Whitehouse was hiding behind the costume.
The judges also believe that Kingfisher could be Chris Packham or Alan Titchmarsh.
Who do The Masked Singer fans think Kingfisher is?
Fans of the show are convinced that kids TV star Simon Farnaby is the voice of Kingfisher.
Taking to X, one viewer wrote: “Kingfisher sounds like Simon Farnaby to #maskedsinger #MaskedSingerUk.”
A second said: ”Kingfisher is Simon Farnaby. Absolute FACT.”
And a third fan added: ”Kingfisher sounds just like Simon Farnaby #maskedsinger.”
Those listening to the lyrics at home also predicated that comedian Harry Hill could be behind the mask.
Sharing their theories online, one penned: ”That’s definitely Harry Hill, he has a good voice.”
