The Traitors in bombshell format shake-up as nighttime murder is axed leaving two players’ fate hanging in the balance
THE Traitors revealed a game-changing format shake-up which has seen two players fate hanging in the balance.
The Claudia Winkleman fronted BBC show scrapped up the rulebook for the latest episode.
In a major format shake-up, the usual nighttime murder was axed as the show’s two Traitors, Linda and Minah, were forced to make another huge decision.
Following a tense banishment, which saw player Dan axed, Minah and Linda recieved a letter which confirmed there would be no murder.
Instead, they had to murder “in plain sight”.
It meant that the duo had to complete a task in the castle without being rumbled by their co-stars.
Minah and Linda were forced to find a peacock quill to write the names of four of their fellow players on a painting in the castle.
The names they wrote would then be taken away in the dead of night to take part in a game which would ultimately see one of them murdered.
Minah and Linda managed to do their task undetected and in time as it was revealed they had selected Alexander, Anna, Fozia and Leon.
The four players were then taken to a cemetary where Claudia was waiting for them and had details of the game that would seal their fate.
Sat around a table, the players took part in a card game entitled Deathmatch.
Each player had two cards but only one out of the entire eight cards was good and was called the “life card”.
In the task, each player was forced to swap a card with a fellow player once leaving the whereabouts of the “life card” to chance.
At the end of the first round, Anna was revealed to be safe and thus left the cemetary.
She was soon followed by Alexander leaving just Fozia and Leon.
Claudia confirmed that only one of them would survive and the other would be murdered and out of the game.
But just who will survive?
Fans of the show were kept in suspense as it was revealed that the axed player would not be revealed until next WEDNESDAY.
Reacting to the bombshell twist online, one fan said: “Why do I have a feeling that Leon is gonna survive. I know for a fact if Fozia loses she is going to be shocked who the traitors are.”
Another added: “There is a 50% chance that mother Fozia will be murdered on Wednesday, i simply cannot wait till then to find out…”
A third then wrote: “Hope Fozia gets murdered & Leon is recruited as a Traitor – he will be brilliant as one. The Deathmatch is a fantastic addition to the show!”
Before a fourth predicted: “The traitors will reveal themselves to Leon and Fozia. One will be murdered and the other recruited as a traitor. If they refuse then they both get murdered.”
