Kate has been divorced once, splitting from The Kills guitarist Jamie Hince in 2016.
Second is Lincoln, then Bath, Bolton and Manchester, analysis shows.
Cardiff is home to Britain’s happiest married couples, with 190 searches a month per 100,000.
The study, for consultancy didgeheads.com, found England’s married couples were likelier to be seeking divorce than those in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Didgeheads director Jessica Redman said: “It’s interesting to observe that England completely dominates the ranking of the major cities in the UK searching for divorce-related terms, while Cardiff and Belfast, alongside Glasgow, are among the ones searching the least for the topic.”
Ms Redman added: “This shows a rift in the nation regarding the impact of the holiday season on searches for information about divorce online.
“As the new year often leads to life re-evaluations, people in England may be more prone to major life changes at the start of the year than those in other parts of the UK.”
