Watch the moment Maya Jama flirts with Curtis Pritchard as Love Island All Stars fans can’t get over his glow up
MAYA Jama appeared to flirt with Curtis Pritchard as he debuted his glow up on tonight’s Love Island All Stars.
Having recently split from his girlfriend Sophie Sheridan, ballroom dancer Curtis, 28, looks better than ever with a chiselled six-pack, defined biceps, and impressive shoulder muscles.
Curtis, who first found fame on series five of Love Island, made his grand return to the villa alongside series 10 alum Catherine Agbaje, 24.
The pair were the first to arrive and were warmly greeted by host Maya, 30, who asked how long they’d been single.
Curtis admitted: “About four months now, me.”
As the girls remarked about the freshness of the breakup, he said: “It is kind of new but I knew it wasn’t right for me, and if you know that, I had to end it there and I thought, ‘I’m not going to cheat on her and I’m never gonna cheat on somebody.’
“I did that in my first relationship and it broke my heart much as her. I’ll never do that.”
An impressed Maya remarked, “We like that, okay.”
ITV viewers were left mesmerised by his new look, with one writing on X, “Okay Curtis has had a serious glow up.”
Another added: “Curtis has had such a glow up since the last time he was in the villa.”
Someone else joked: “Sorry but I am still confused as to how this man on my tv screen is CURTIS ! His glowup?”
Since his first appearance on the show, Curtis has indeed undergone a dramatic physical transformation.
During his initial stint in 2020, he admitted to gaining two stone, largely due to his newfound love for the villa’s cheesecake.
He explained at the time that it was actually one of the show’s producers who flagged how much he was eating.
Curtis shared: “When I came out of Love Island I put two stone on in weight.
“I was enjoying the show’s cheesecake too much. At one point a producer said to me: ‘Curtis we have actually counted how many slices of cheesecake you have with each meal and the most was five slices’ – I like my cheesecake what can I say!”
He ended up getting fat-shamed by cruel trolls and made the decision to turn his life around when left.
Turning things around
Curtis, who dated Maura Higgins after the show, ended up losing three stone and told how he now has a “healthy relationship with food”.
He explained: “I didn’t have a healthy relationship with food before I went into the Love Island villa.
“I was doing my dancing and through my life I’ve always done questionable diets and then binged out on food, so I’d go on crash diets, lose a drastic amount of weight, and then all of a sudden it’s not healthy to do that, and I’d binge and put weight back cause I’d eat loads too much.
“It would just be a vicious circle that would keep happening. Now I just, eat what I want when I want, but my whole mindset’s changed around food.
“It’s just a moderate healthy diet. If I want a chocolate bar, I have a chocolate bar. But it’s not like oh I’m not allowed this, I’m not allowed that – I can eat whatever I want when I want.”
Speaking in another interview about the trolling he received, Curtis said: “On a truthful note it isn’t nice to say something nasty about someone. It isn’t nice to do and be on the receiving end. But you know what, look at me now.”
Finding love
Curtis was most recently dating Sophie but split just months before All Stars.
During his first time on the show, Curtis was coupled up with now-married Amy Hart but dumped her in memorable scenes after Casa Amor.
She then left the show after having her heart broken as he moved on to Maura.
Second time lucky
In his pre-villa interview, the 28-year-old reality star said: “I feel like I’m in a different stage in my life. The idea of settling down is a serious idea in my life right now.
“I haven’t found my true love… that sounds so cheesy doesn’t it.
“So, I thought, let’s give it another go. It was great fun last time; a lot of emotions.
“I feel excited to go back. I’m going to have a great fun time and hopefully leave with someone. It’s exciting.”
He was then asked: “Does ‘making coffee in the morning’ follow you everywhere?”
To which he replied: “It follows me everywhere!” In hindsight, if I do find a girl this time, I will perhaps cuddle her in bed rather than make coffee… so Amy taught me a lesson.”
