Tommy Fury seen for the first time since Molly-Mae’s tearful admission over his booze battle and reunion rumours
TOMMY Fury has been seen for first time since Molly-Mae Hague’s tearful admission over his booze battle.
The professional boxer, 25, blamed his shock split from ex-fiancee Molly, 25, five months ago on his addition and said he would drink to get ‘black-out drunk’ most nights.
The former Love Island winner was seen grabbing a bite to eat at Hickory’s Smokehouse in Cheshire on Saturday.
Tommy wore a designer grey tracksuit with a pair of black and white trainers for the afternoon outing.
He appeared downcast while he stared at his phone screen in the car park.
The TV star continued to head towards the eatery, joined by a group of mates and then jumped in his Mercedes-Benz G550 SUV.
Last week Tommy spoke out about the lowest points in his life in a new interview with Men’s Health – revealing he feared his drinking would see him end up in a ditch.
He said: “The turnaround point was in December I thought ‘I can’t do this anymore, I cannot do it’.
“I was like ‘something needs to change’ or else I’m going to end up in a ditch because that was the way I was going.
“I often said that to my brother most night and my mates, they all know that.”
Tommy continued: “I can’t remember how many countless nights I had in like my living room or their living room just crying for no reason, like I get that drunk I just start crying and talk about other stuff and it’s just like, you can’t go on like that.
“So at the end of the day this year what’s different is me. That whole approach to life.
“Last year was awful, you know, and I want to get rid of that. This year is about being thoughtful, it’s about being kind, it’s about being the right partner, it’s about being a good partner, it’s about being there more.”
Tommy broke his silence on the those cheating allegations during the same interview.
Tommy said: “Cheating was never a thing.
“You can ask Molly this yourself. It was the drink, and the drink is not a good thing. You need to get a grip of it.
“If you’re in the same spot as me, where you just think that it’s going to cure all your problems, it doesn’t.
“You wake up even worse and you want to drink more to try and feel happy again. That’s the cycle of it.”
A tearful Molly also addressed the breakdown of their relationship in her new documentary titled Molly Mae: Behind It All.
Molly revealed: “He wanted to have a family life but also have the life of a 25-year-old boy with no responsibilities and the two don’t go hand in hand.”
The influencer added: “He’s never had an alcohol problem, it’s just that alcohol caused problems for us.
“It got to a point where I wasn’t really looking forward to anything because alcohol affected it so much.”
Molly and Tommy welcomed their daughter Bambi in January 2023.
Six months later, they got engaged in a romantic proposal – and had planned to marry this year.
Molly admitted that while she didn’t want to break up with her fiancée, she had to.
She told sister Zoe: “I’m not breaking up with him because I don’t love him anymore, I’m breaking up with him because he hasn’t given me a single other choice.”
Continuing, she said: “Even over the last year I’ve been so much more aware of things that have been going on, that I was so naive to for so long and I still don’t think I know the full picture.”
Back on?
Rumours that Molly reunited with Tommy privately have swirled since they were caught kissing on New Year’s Eve at a party.
Days later the couple – who share daughter Bambi – met up to watch horror movie Nosferatu at a cinema in Altrincham, Greater Manchester.
They were spotted sharing nachos and a drink before leaving at midnight to return to Molly’s £4m Cheshire home.
