Tragedy as man, 36, and girl, 6, found dead at home as cops launch urgent probe into ‘unexplained’ deaths

A MAN, 36, and a six-year-old girl have tragically have been found dead at their home – as cops launch an urgent probe into the “unexplained” deaths.

The two bodies were discovered in a property in West Calder, Scotland, at around 4pm on January 20.

It followed a report of a concern for a person.

The police force said that the deaths were being treated as unexplained and post mortem examinations would take place in due course.

They also said the pair’s relatives were being supported by specialist officers.

Chief Inspector Elaine McArthur-Kerr, local area commander, said: “We understand this incident may be very upsetting and worrying for the people living in this community and would ask anyone with any concerns to speak to us.

“A police presence will remain in the area while we carry out investigations and anyone with any concerns, or information, can approach these officers.”
