Aldi quietly launches two new scents in Molton Brown candle dupe range – and they’re already on shelves

IF you love high-end scents or your home but hate forking out for the hefty price tag then you might want to take note.

While designer items always look amazing, for many of us they can be way beyond the budget – especially during the current cost of living crisis.

And with the Christmas period not long finished, treating yourself to a luxury candle or diffuser might not be high up on the priority list.

Luckily, the budget-friendly retailer has us covered.

The incredible new dupes, which are the perfect alternative to the high-end favourite, have already hit the shelves.

The Hotel Collection Luxury Aroma Candle is available for just £5.99 from Aldi.

The 600g candle is said to “add a beautiful fragrance to your home”, according to manufacturers.

And it is designed to last for approximately 80 hours of burning.

Aldi revealed that the two new scents in the collection are Rose, Rhubarb and Musk and Sea Salt and Fennel.

While the Black Pepper and Vetiver scent is also back by popular demand.

The Rose, Rhubarb and Musk scent is described as a tart rhubarb and soft rose smell which is complemented by the sweetness of lychee and finished with warming cedarwood.

While the Sea Salt and Fennel is an “invigorating lemon which leads into a refreshing heart of sea salt”

And it “brings refreshing marine notes into the home, all anchored by a base scent of warm, rich amber”.

And the fan-favourite Black Pepper and Vetive is a spicy black pepper mixed with rich cedarwood and earthy vetiver.

The scents are similar to Molton Brown London’s range – however, Aldi’s versions are a whopping £79 cheaper.

They are close to the brand’s Coastal Cypress and Sea Fennel, Delicious Rhubarb and Rose, and Re-charge Black Pepper, which all cost £85.

The candles, which are the same size, only burn for 60 to 70 hours compared to Aldi’s 80 hours.

Molton Brown recommended burning the Coastal Cypress and Sea Fennel in the hallway or bathroom.

And they suggested using the Delicious Rhubarb and Rose candle in any room where homeowners would like to have fruity or floral notes.

While bosses said the Re-charge Black Pepper is perfect for the entrance hall, living room, or bedroom.

Both versions of the candles have three wicks and black frosted glass jars.

Bosses at Aldi also revealed that they were “inspired” by Molton Brown’s diffuser collection, too.

The Hotel Collection Luxury Aromas Reed Diffuser is available for £5.99 from Aldi.

According to manufacturers, the 150 mililitre diffuser is designed to last up to 12 weeks.

It will be available in the same three scents as the candle and is £42 cheaper than the Molton Brown version.
