Three transfers every Premier League club should make according to AI, with Man Utd sending Marcus Rashford to rival
JANUARY is always full of swirling rumours and speculation about how teams can improve their chances of success with some new signings.
And fans can debate as much as they’d like about who their clubs should bring through the door to help push them one step closer to the title or give them a leg-up out of the relegation zone.

But ultimately nobody knows who the perfect signing is for their team, not even the transfer chiefs earning the big bucks always get it right.
So what would happen if those decisions were taken away from the powers that be and were left with AI instead?
Well thanks to a research from BonusCodesBets.co.uk, we now know what three players AI reckons would be best suited to each Premier League side.
Here SunSport breaks down those potential signings and has a look at how realistic that actually are…
Arsenal
- Jeremie Frimpong (Bayer Leverkusen)
- Rayan Cherki (Lyon)
- Evan Ndicka (Roma)
Arsenal side are crying out for a striker this season, however AI doesn’t think a goalscorer is top of their list of priorities.
Lyon’s Cherki would be the only option of the three that would be able to tackle their creativity issues head on, however the 21-year-old has managed just three goals in Ligue 1 this season.
All three of these transfers feel wide of the mark.
Aston Villa
- Piero Hincapie (Bayer Leverkusen )
- Vanderson (Monaco)
- Nicolas Dominguez (Nottingham Forest)

Unai Emery works on the basis that his teams are solid defensively with threat from the wide positions.
Leverkusen centre-back Hincapie would offer another solid option at the back and would give Emery a new option in defence amid his injury woes.
While Dominguez has proven an important player for Nottingham Forest this season and would be hard to snatch away from the high-flying Reds.
Bournemouth
- Emmanuel Dennis (Nottingham Forest)
- Davinson Sanchez (Galatasaray)
- Ludovic Blas (Rennes)
Enes Unal’s ACL injury coupled with Evanlison’s broken foot means Bournemouth desperately need a new striker- out of favour Emmanuel Dennis could be a cut-price option for the Cherries.
Sanchez would bring Premier League experience from his time with Tottenham, while Blas has all the makings of another uncovered gem with 12 goal contributions in 18 Ligue 1 games this season.
Brentford
- Santiago Gimenez (Feyenoord)
- Mohammed Salisu (Monaco)
- Calvin Stengs (Feyenoord)
Brentford still need a long-term replacement for Ivan Toney, especially given Igor Thiago’s injury record since arriving in the summer.
Feyenoord‘s Santiago Gimenez has been a goalscoring machine in recent seasons and is reportedly available, but he wouldn’t come cheap with clubs like AC Milan reportedly interested.
Stengs is an option that has previously been linked with the MLS, while Salisu never did much in the Premier League for Southampton – both seem wide of the mark.
Brighton
- Oliver Boscagli (PSV Eindhoven)
- Matheus Franca (Crystal Palace)
- Amine Gouiri (Rennes)
Brighton tend to find the diamond in the rough with every player they sign these days, so it’s unlikely they’ll be taking any note of the suggestions AI have given them.
Even more so when you think about the the chorus of laughter that would erupt at Selhurst Park when they tried to sign a player from huge rivals Crystal Palace.
Chelsea
- Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace)
- Lautaro Martinez (Inter Milan)
- Victor Oshimen (Napoli, on loan at Galatasaray)
Marc Guehi makes sense, but Palace are going to demand a huge fee and the Blues have already recalled Trevoh Chalobah from his loan with the Eagles this month.
A striker always seems like the right addition at Stamford Bridge and we know they tried to sign Osimhen in the summer.
However, the Nigerian star has already said he wants to stay put at Galatasaray until the end of the season while Lautaro Martinez would command a fee that even Clearlake Capital would likely gawk at.
Crystal Palace
- Tomas Soucek (West Ham United)
- Victor Nelsson (Galatasaray)
- Ben Doak (Liverpool, on loan at Middlesbrough)
As nice as some of these signings sound, they seem far from possible for Palace.
Soucek is too important in East London to jump ship to the Eagles, while Ben Doak is a wanted man that would probably have some more attractive suitors.
Nelsson could be an option at the back for Oliver Glasner after Chalobah was recalled by Chelsea, but the 26-year-old has barely played for Galatasaray this season.
Everton
- Harry Winks (Leicester City)
- James Justin (Leicester City)
- Georges Mikautadze (Lyon)
Everton are crying out for help and David Moyes will be hoping that he can bring in the right players to keep the Toffees afloat.
But stealing two star men from a relegation rival seems beyond ambitious for the Merseyside men.
A striker would help Everton hugely, but if AI thinks they can take a striker like Mikautadze, who has only moved to Lyon in the summer, it’s mistaken.
Fulham
- Breel Embolo (Monaco)
- Igor Jesus (Botafogo)
- Wataru Endo (Liverpool)
Fulham have benefitted from Raul Jimenez returning to form this season with eight Premier League goals already, but his contract is up in the summer and Embolo and Jesus offer decent options to come in.
Liverpool‘s Endo could probably be tempted by a switch given he hasn’t started a league game for the Reds all season, but the Anfield outfit would be hesitant to lose squad depth in the midst of a title charge.
Ipswich
- Harvey Elliot (Liverpool)
- Ben Mee (Brentford)
- Rob Holding (Crystal Palace)
AI is living in dreamland if it thinks that Ipswich would be able to steal a prospect like Harvey Elliot away from the league leaders.
Ben Mee and Rob Holding could be different, however. Both stars are out of favour at their current clubs and could offer a wealth of Premier League experience at the back for Kieran McKenna‘s side.
Leicester
- Victor Lindelof (Manchester United)
- Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (Chelsea)
- Haji Wright (Coventry City)
AI has tipped Man Utd legend Ruud van Nistelrooy to raid former club Man Utd to sign out of favour Victor Lindelof, but the Red Devils injury woes could prove a stumbling block.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has had a torrid time since leaving Leicester for Chelsea in the summer and a short loan back to the Foxes may be perfect for all parties. Haji Wright is currently injured.
Liverpool
- Alphonso Davies (Bayern Munich)
- Stefanos Tzimas (FC Nurnberg)
- Joao Gomes (Wolves)
As fun as seeing “road-runner” Alphonso Davies bomb down the flank in the Premier League would be, the Canadian is reportedly close to agreeing fresh terms in Bavaria.
Striker prospect Stefanos Tzimas is a name already linked with Liverpool and one that actually could come true.
While Joao Gomes would be another exciting addition on Merseyside.
Man City
- Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen)
- Ederson (Atalanta)
- Joao Palhinha (Bayern Munich)
AI has thrown up three superb players that would improve Man City, but pushing the deals through this month seems unlikely.
City have already spent the best part of £100m on Abdukodir Kusanov and Vitor Reis and are expected to bring in Omar Marmoush for around £67.5m in the coming days.
Bringing in the likes of Florian Wirtz while staying on the right side of the Premier League’s strict financial rules would be a big ask even for Sheikh Mansour.
Man Utd
- Viktor Gyokeres (Sporting CP)
- Randal Kolo Muani (PSG)
- Milos Kerkez (Bournemouth)
Ruben Amorim needs signings, and he needs a striker. But he’s not getting Randal Kolo Muani with the Frenchman already moving to Juventus on loan.
Gyokeres is believed to be a target, Amorim has promised to stay clear of Sporting this month.
Kerkez is rumoured to be a player Man Utd are interested in, but they appear to have made Lecce left-back Patrick Dorgu their first choice.
Newcastle
- Fikayo Tomori (AC Milan)
- Johan Bakayoko (PSV Eindhoven)
- Aaron Ramsdale (Southampton)
AI seems to have failed to take into account the fact that Newcastle have been flirting with FFP and PSR for two seasons in a row.
If the Magpies want to bring in any of these stars then they’ll probably have to flog £130m man Alexander Isak first.
Nottingham Forest
- Baris Alper Yilmaz (Galatasaray)
- Wilfried Gnonto (Leeds United)
- Evan Ferguson (Brighton)
Forest are having one hell of a season and January acquisitions could be the difference between falling down the table and playing Champions League football next season.
However, Brighton backup Evan Ferguson would find himself in exactly the same position at the City Ground as on the South Coast, with red hot Chris Wood currently undroppable.
Yilmaz is arguably the most realistic buy of the three.
Southampton
- Kevin Danso (Lens)
- Chuba Akpom (Ajax)
- Glen Kamara (Rennes)
Kevin Danso may not see the appeal of signing for a side seemingly destined for the Championship given he has suitors such as Roma and Wolves.
Glen Kamara was superb for Leeds last season and a return to England with the Saints could help sure up their midfield.
And struggling Ajax forward, and Arsenal academy product, Chuba Akpom would be a somewhat realistic option to replace Ben Brereton-Diaz, who has been loaned to Sheffield United.
Tottenham
- Illya Zabarnyi (Bournemouth)
- Valentin Arangana (Reimes)
- Davide Frattesi (Inter Milan)
Spurs are crying out for players, any players, given their injury nightmare.
The question for Spurs is whether their current league position and the uncertainty over boss Ange Postecoglou could hinder their chances of convincing new players to join the club.
West Ham
- Marcus Rashford (Manchester United)
- Carney Chukwuemeka (Chelsea)
- Emmanuel Latte Lath (Middlesbrough)
West Ham are in the market for a striker, having sent a huge offer to Aston Villa for Jhon Duran.
But should they not get their man then Latte Lath could be a shrewd signing given his goal scoring in the Championship.
The Hammers are understood to hold an interest in Marcus Rashford, but would have to beat a host of Champions League suitors to secure his signature.
A loan move for Chelsea’s Chukwuemeka, however, does not seem out of the question.
Wolves
- Divock Origi (AC Milan)
- Giorgi Chakvetadze (Watford)
- Tyrick Mitchell (Crystal Palace)
The Sun exclusively revealed that Wolves are interested in a £20m deal for Chakvetadze, but play-off hopefuls Watford normally prefer to wait for the summer to sell key players.
Mitchell would be a great signing, but an unlikely one given he is reportedly being eyed by the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.
Liverpool Champions League final hero Divock Origi has had a torrid three years at AC Milan, who would likely be open to offers.
