Jim, 63, once revealed how a co-star hadn’t been a fan of his – and told him so to his face.
Speaking on the Norm Macdonald Live show in 2017, he recounted bumping into Tommy Lee Jones at a restaurant.
The Oscar winner, 78, was also starring in Batman Forever, playing fellow baddie Two-Face.
Jim explained how the Maitre’d pointed out Tommy eating dinner, which then prompted him to venture over.
The comedian shared: “I went over, and I said, ‘Hey Tommy, how are you doing?’ and the blood just drained from his face, and he got up shaking – he must have been in mid-kill-me fantasy or something like that.”
Continuing, Jim added: “He went to hug me, and he said, ‘I hate you. I really don’t like you’.
“And I said, ‘What’s the problem?’ and pulled up a chair, which probably wasn’t smart.”
“He said: ‘I cannot sanction your buffoonery’.”
According to Ladbible, this occurred a day before the pair shot an important scene for the movie.
Although Jim didn’t understand in the moment, he opined what may have happened during the Norm Macdonald Live chat.
He said: “I was the star and that was the problem.
“He’s a phenomenal actor, though. I still love him.”
Among Jim’s latest work has been as villain Dr Robotnik in the Sonic movies.
Despite previously floating retirement claims, he reprised the role once again for 2024’s Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
Speaking to Variety, Jim outlined his reasons for continuing on as the character.
He revealed: “I came back to this universe because I get to play a genius, which is a bit of a stretch.
“And you know, I bought a lot of stuff and I need the money, frankly.”
