PC gamers can pick up wholesome painting game completely free – save £11
PC gamers are getting plenty of great games for free, and this week, the Epic Games Store has an unusual pick for its weekly free title.
EGS users can grab a cosy point-and-click adventure about painting with a gorgeous art style reminiscent of the iconic Japanese anime studio Ghibli.

The relaxing game has you play as an aspiring artist who must finish her final painting for a gallery submission.
As you paint the art piece, it tells an emotional story through beautifully animated cutscenes, with some light puzzles to solve in between.
It’s a short game that won’t take more than a couple of hours to complete, but for the very low price of “free”, it’s definitely worth your time.
Behind the Frame: The Finest Scenery usually costs £10.99 / $12.99, so picking it up for free will save you some money on a wholesome addition to your game library.
The game will be free until Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 4pm UK time / 11am ET, when it will be replaced by a new one.
Next week’s free title will be survival game Undying, in which you are caught in a zombie apocalypse.
To grab Behind the Frame, you will need a free Epic Games Store account.
Then, you can claim the game either from the EGS website or from the store’s Epic Games Launcher app.
You will need the free launcher to download and play the game, so it’s worth installing it on your PC.
Once you claim the game during the free week, it’s added to your Epic Games Store library and you will be able to install and play it whenever you want.
