One Morrisons shopper is very happy with their electric hot water bottle bargain[/caption]

On the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, she revealed: “Got these from Morrisons for £4 each, they are £18.99 on Amazon!

“They also had a rechargeable foot warmer for £10. Apart from the smell [of plastic] which is bearable the heat is amazing!”

Many people seemed keen to snap up the unbelievable bargain – and some have already been successful.

One person said: “These are brilliant we paid double that before Christmas but totally worth it.”

Another commented: “Amazing gt 1 for my birthday yesterday and already love it!”

A fellow shopper wrote: “I got one of these for my birthday its fab! Been looking for another one! Thank you, I’ll have to have a look.

And: “I’ll have to pop to Morrisons and have a look!”

The electric hot water bottle is priced on Amazon at £18.99.

This makes the same item in Morrisons nearly £15 cheaper.

You’ll have to be quick if you want to walk away with some discounts.

Hundreds of fellow shoppers have liked and commented on the Extreme Couponing post heaping praise on the bargain.

Bear in mind, you might not find the electric hot water bottle in your nearest branch at such a discount.

It might be worth calling your nearest store to see if it has any in stock and for the discounted price.

Also remember, a deal is only a deal if you were going to buy it in the first place and don’t buy a product just because it is discounted.

Plus, make sure you shop around to ensure you are getting the best price.

You can use websites like Trolley and Price Spy which compare prices on thousands of items across online retailers.

Meanwhile, the Google Shopping/Product tab lets you scan the internet to see how much different online retailers are selling a particular item for.

How to bag a bargain

SUN Savers Editor Lana Clements explains how to find a cut-price item and bag a bargain…

Sign up to loyalty schemes of the brands that you regularly shop with.

Big names regularly offer discounts or special lower prices for members, among other perks.

Sales are when you can pick up a real steal.

Retailers usually have periodic promotions that tie into payday at the end of the month or Bank Holiday weekends, so keep a lookout and shop when these deals are on.

Sign up to mailing lists and you’ll also be first to know of special offers. It can be worth following retailers on social media too.

When buying online, always do a search for money off codes or vouchers that you can use vouchercodes.co.uk and myvouchercodes.co.uk are just two sites that round up promotions by retailer.

Scanner apps are useful to have on your phone. Trolley.co.uk app has a scanner that you can use to compare prices on branded items when out shopping.

Bargain hunters can also use B&M’s scanner in the app to find discounts in-store before staff have marked them out.

And always check if you can get cashback before paying which in effect means you’ll get some of your money back or a discount on the item.
