BARGAIN hunters should be aware of the major retailers launching huge winter clearance sales.

With the festivities well and truly over it is not uncommon for retailers to slash the price of their products to help shift stock ahead of spring.

It can be a great time to nab a bargain, but you should be aware that the price and stock levels of products can vary from store to store.

So if you see a deal you would like to shop in store it may be worth ringing your local branch ahead of time to avoid disappointment.

Below we highlight some of the best deals from popular high street brands like Boots, B&M and more.

B&M

B&M shoppers are rushing to buy clearance scanning for 10p instead of £12.

And B&M has done exactly that, with one happy customers sharing how they picked up a range of baubles, and decorations for 10p each.

The bargain hunter could not believe their luck and quickly took to social media to share the news.

Writing in the Extreme Coupling and Bargains UK group they said: “Some Bargains from B&M this morning! The last of the Christmas bits going for 10p.”

And that is not all shoppers went wild after they spotted Dettol disinfectant spray also scanning for 10p down from £2.

Another customer managed to pick up a 24-pack of Flash Speed Mop Refills for just 10p.

The cleaning product can cost up to £7.50 at other retailers such as Sainsbury’s

B&M does not have an online store so if you are keen to shop these deals you will need to go to physical store.

You can find your nearest B&M by visiting www.bmstores.co.uk/stores.

The B&M scanner app is free to download onto your smartphone via the Apple App Store or Google Play and flags potential bargains.

Once downloaded, you use the camera on your phone to scan product barcodes around stores.

The app then tells you the true price of that product, which is sometimes much lower than the price tag says it is.

One shopper used the app to get a £10 long hot water bottle for just 10p.

Patience is a virtue with the app though, as you may have to scan a number of products before finding a 10p bargain.

BOOTS

The pharmacy and makeup brand has slashed the price of a number of goodies to just 50p.

One lucky customer managed to pick up bottles of St Tropez tanning water for 50p, when it usually costs around £14.

The shopper also bought a number of bottles of Garnier Ultimate Blends conditioner for 50p, when the hair care product can cost upwards of £2.50.

And that’s not all the savings you can grab at Boots.

These deals appear to be only available in store so it may be worth ringing your local branch ahead of time to avoid disappointment.

Boots has dropped the price of a sack of Christmas chocolate coins from £1.50 to 75p – a 50% discount.

And while Christmas 2025 is a long way away, it could be worth getting some now and saving yourself some cash.

The milk chocolate coins contain 521 calories per 100g, and may have traces of soya in them.

Those feeling humorous can also buy a Festive Sprout Whoopee Cushion for £1 down from £2.

You can buy these products online but you will need to factor in a £3.99 delivery fee on orders under £30.

You can also shop in store but stock levels may vary from store to store.

TESCO

The UK’s biggest supermarket has launched a big clearance on its blankets and other good that should keep you warm over the winter.

One shopper spotted a Silentnight’s Grey Teddy Fleece Reversible Double Duvet Set scanning for £9.90 instead of £33.

Two eagle-eyed shoppers had spotted the deals at their local Tesco stores in Wellingborough and Shrewsbury and shared the news on Facebook group “Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group”.

The duvet set typically retails for £33 and is described as “supremely snuggly” and “luxuriously soft”.

It comes with both the duvet cover itself and two pillowcases, all sharing the same grey colour.

This set joined a range of other products also on clearance sale, including a selection of towels.

The blue and grey towels, which come in many different sizes, now cost between 90p and £2.25.

On the Tesco website the cheapest F&F towel costs £5.

A great way to save at Tesco is buy signing up for a Clubcard, which is free to do.

When you shop you earn points which can be turned into money off products you buy in store.

You can also get money off products.

For example, a bottle of Nivea Q10 firming lotion is £15 for non-loyalty card holders but those with the card can shop the product for £7.50.

DUNELM

Dunelm has also slashed the price of a number of festive items to as little as 25p.

A packet of eight butterfly patterned gift tags has been reduced from £1 to just 25p.

Meanwhile a glass which has the design of a Robin on it has been knocked down from £1.50 to 31p.

Shoppers have described it as “cute” and the “perfect sized glass”.
