Woman shares hilarious warning not to tan after drinking wine as she’s left ‘two different colours’ in her own mishap
IT seemed like a good idea at the time, after a few glasses of wine.
But one woman has shared a hilarious warning to others not to fake tan after drinking – showing how she woke up “two different colours”.
Jenn issued a warning to others not to fake tan after drinking following her own mishap[/caption] She was left “two different colours” after deciding to fake tan when she got home from an evening at a winery[/caption]In a hilarious video on TikTok, Jenn explained that she’d been out to a winery with a friend, and it was when she got home that she “had a really good idea” to tan herself.
“I mean… I don’t even know,” she laughed.
“What is happening?”
Jenn then grinned to show how white her teeth looked against the uneven, muddy tan, as she joked: “I feel like Ross from Friends!”
The famous episode of the U.S. TV show saw David Schwimmer’s Ross bleaching his teeth, and leaving everyone – including his date – terrified with his gleamingly bright gnashers.
“I’m nervous to see what the rest of my body looks like!” Jenn said, struggling to contain her laughter.
“I don’t even know what’s happening right now.”
Holding up her hand next to her face to highlight the difference in hue, Jenn giggled: “I am two different colours!”
“Decided to tan myself last night after I had some wine,” she captioned her TikTok.
“Then woke up to this beautiful mess this morning!”
The comments section was immediately filled with people praising Jenn for sharing the hilarious video, which many said had given them a much-needed laugh.
“You look like you’ve been digging potatoes with your face,” one joked.
“Wine was involved, this explains a lot!” another said.
“Your laugh makes this so much funnier!” a third wrote.
To which Jenn replied: “How can you not laugh at this?
“I woke up and startled myself when I looked in the mirror.”
Fake Tan Lovers Guide to Applying it Streak-Free
Here’s Fabulous ultimate guide to a flawless, streak-free fake tan that will leave you looking like you’ve just stepped off the beach...
Preparation is Key
A streak-free tan starts with proper skin prep. Exfoliate your skin thoroughly 24 hours before application. Focus on rough areas like elbows, knees and ankles to ensure an even canvas. Opt for an exfoliator with natural ingredients to avoid irritation.
Hydration Station
Moisturise your entire body right after exfoliating, but pay extra attention to dry patches. On the day of tanning, only apply a light, oil-free moisturiser to these areas a few hours before you plan to tan. This prevents the tan from clinging to dry spots and developing unevenly.
Formulate, Don’t Hate
Selecting the right fake tan product can make all the difference. Mousse formulas are easiest to apply and blend. Tanning drops can be added to your regular face moisturiser to match your face with your body.
Application O’Clock
Using a tanning mitt is non-negotiable for an even application. Dispense a small amount of product onto the mitt and apply in long, sweeping motions. Start from your ankles and work your way up to avoid creases. Apply sparingly on joints and use a fluffy make-up brush for your hands and feet.
Post-Tan Care
Once you’ve applied your tan, allow it to dry completely before dressing. Loose, dark clothing is best to avoid transferring colour. Avoid water and sweat for at least six to eight hours while the tan develops. After your first rinse, pat your skin dry gently and moisturise daily to prolong your tan.
“But look how white your teeth aaaaare,” someone else pointed out.
With Jenn laughing as she called it a “silver lining”.
“Self tanner should have a child proof lid to prevent application post-alcohol!” another suggested.
As someone else said: “Your hand is practically GLOWING in comparison!”
While others used the comments to share their own post-drinking beauty fails.
“Your cocktail decision was better than mine…. I gave myself a haircut,” one sighed.
“I decided to cut curtain bangs on myself after drinking wine,” another admitted.
“I saw a TikTok tutorial. They turned out like your tan, crazy!”
“I did bleach cap highlights last night after Prosecco… same vibes,” a third wrote.
“I cut my son’s hair after like 4 glasses of wine once and let’s just say, we won’t be doing that again!” someone else laughed.
