The moment furious neighbour yells ‘If I die, you’re for it’ at student in bitter parking space row
A WOMAN’S furious attack on her student neighbour over a parking space has gone viral after being captured on video.
Suzy took to her TikTok page to share a clip of the woman unleashing her angry spiel as she stood by and attempted to defend herself and her housemates for parking in the spots.
She couldn’t hide her shock as she closed the door after their angry dispute[/caption]And the woman’s tirade came despite the fact that the spaces aren’t allocated, and are public spots available for anyone to park in.
But she insisted that due to having asthma, she can’t walk up the hill, and needs to park closer to her house.
The woman, who lives at the end of the row of houses, began by asking: “Can I just ask if you can move your car further up the hill for me please?
“Because I’m severely asthmatic. And I can’t walk too far.”
Suzy then hit back saying that there was someone else due to arrive and they “need three spaces”.
To which the woman, growing more angry by the second, retorted: “You don’t need anything, you’re students, I’m sorry, I live here, I’ve been living here for years.”
“Sorry, but that’s not your space, it’s a public…” Suzy said.
The neighbour pointed out that there was a space closer to the students’ house, but they’d still chosen to park in ‘her’ space.
Suzy insisted she hadn’t seen the space when she drove down the road, but the neighbour argued: “You can’t take up three or four spaces in a row where you don’t live permanently.”
When Suzy argued that of the four people living in her house, three of them have cars, the woman said it’s “not my issue”, and insisted she was going to report it to the council.
“Do what you want, but the council can’t do anything, it’s a public road, mate,” Suzy replied.
“That’s not your space. You don’t have a house that has a driveway, so that’s not your space.”
When the woman insisted that she wasn’t “being rude”, Suzy said she was “sorry” she had asthma, which prompted the resident to start crying.
“I had to walk up the hill here and they nearly killed me,” she cried.
” I can’t be doing this, it’s not fair, you don’t understand, you’re young, you can f**king walk up the hill here.
“I’m asthmatic. If I die because I have an asthma attack because of you, then you’re going to be for it, girl!”
The Top Five Reasons Neighbours Squabble
One study by Compare the Market revealed the top reason British neighbour's argue
- Broken fences – top of the board was broken fences and whose responsibility it was to fix it
- Parking: one of the leading drivers of neighbour disputes, with 54.1 per cent of people having issues with people parking in front of their house, parking bay or driveway
- Trees – complaints about a neighbour’s tree cracking your garden path was also common with nearly half of participants finding it frustrating
- Bin wars – outdoor bin etiquette continues to ignite the most furious debates between neighbours
- Nosy Neighbours – some people have their eyes and ears at the ready to have a peek causing problems for others
“So you’re basically saying that if you die it’s my fault?” Suzy asked.
To which the woman said “yes”, and once again attempted to justify why the space should be left just for her use.
She also urged Suzy to “have a bit of respect”, to which the blonde student once again pointed out that it’s a “public road”.
As they continued arguing, more people arrived to try and fight the woman’s cause, with Suzy said: “Like, why is there four people intimidating me and my housemates?”
One of the others standing there even threatened to move Suzy’s car.
Another person, who said they were her daughter, then said: “Everyone in the road knows that my mum parks there because she has a health condition.
“But you’re the only people that ever take her space.
“Everyone else understands that my mum parks there for that reason.”
The woman accused Suzy of being equally aggressive, with the student hitting back: “It’s not a designated space. I can park where I like, it’s not designated!”
And when she said that due to being “permanent residents” she should be allowed to have her own space, Suzy said: “Just because you’re a permanent resident doesn’t mean that you have a hold over us.”
The row continued, but didn’t appear to be going anywhere, before the woman concluded: “Just a bit of respect that it’s all needed.”
“I’m sorry. I’ll be going in a minute,” Suzy said as she had just been getting to go out – effectively giving up the space as she did so.
“POV: my neighbour angry due to me parking on our street as I’m a uni student but it’s free for all parking,” Suzy captioned her video.
It’s not a designated space. I can park where I like!
