Watch moment West Ham Utd legend makes surprise EastEnders appearance – in never-seen-before crossover for Billy’s stag
A WEST Ham United legend will make an EastEnders cameo in 40th anniversary scenes bound to impress their future father-in-law.
The Premiership side’s captain will star in the BBC One show tonight, Wednesday, and send their well-wishes to Billy Mitchell ahead of his wedding to Honey.
The Sun can report how England star Jarrod Bowen, 28 – who is set to wed Dani Dyer, also 28, this year – will appear in the iconic Queen Vic pub courtesy of a video call.
Jarrod, whose future father in law is former EastEnders stalwart Danny Dyer, 47, will chat to groom Billy as he celebrates at the pub with his wife to be.
Billy – played by real life West Ham fan Perry Fenwick, 62 – can be seen propping his phone up on the bar as Jarrod issues his message in front of the team crest.
He said: “Hi Jarrod Bowen here.
“Teddy told us you’re about to tie the knot and I just wanted to say a massive congratulations, and good luck from myself and all of us at West Ham.
“Enjoy your special day.
“Hopefully see you at the London Stadium soon.”
As the clip played out, Billy could be seen with a huge smile on his face.
As Honey quizzed: “Who is it then?” Billy replied: “It’s Jarrod Bowen!”
With EastEnders sharing West Ham stadium’s E20 postcode, Jarrod’s cameo couldn’t be more fitting.
A role in the soap is also proving a family affair, with future father-in-law Danny spending nine years as Mick Carter’,the landlord of the famous Queen Vic.
Meanwhile, Jarrod’s bride-to-be Dani – who is the mother to his twin daughters Summer and Star – appeared in one episode back in June 2021, as a taxi driver named Jeanette.
And the West Ham and Walford link is strong, with former Club manager and much-loved member of the West Ham Family, Harry Redknapp also having made a guest appearance in the show.
Jarrod’s cameo comes as part of EastEnders’ 40th anniversary, and is a TV first.

With the 40th anniversary of EastEnders coming up, fans are looking forward to some more incredible cameos from iconic faces of Walford's past. But who have we had so far?

Paul Bradley – Bradley returned as Nigel Bates, a character he last played over 25 years ago.
Micheal French – French returned as David Wicks, a character he last played two decades ago.
Patsy Palmer – Palmer returned as Bianca Jackson, a character she last played in 2019.
Coming up this year…
Ross Kemp – Kemp will reprise his role as Grant Mitchell, a character he first played in 1990. The BBC has described Kemp’s storyline as “explosive”. Kemp said it was an “absolute honour” to return to the show.
Other aspects of the 40th anniversary celebration include: A wedding between fan favorites, A huge explosion at the Queen Vic, and A live interactive episode.
The Hammers have been ever-present in the lives and homes of EastEnders characters throughout its four decades on air.
And the soap has confirmed a schedule shake-up ahead of the shock 40th anniversary show – which will include an unexpected death.
Two soap legends will also return from beyond the grave ahead of the soap’s milestone.
Beloved characters Garry and Minty also make their comeback shortly after Jarrod’s message airs.
STRONG BOND
Dani and Jarrod are set to wed this summer, with the Love Island alum speaking openly about their nuptials.
She got engaged to boyfriend of three years on a romantic boat trip in Ibiza last summer.
The mum of three told how the ceremony will be “intimate and small” while also spilling details about her dress.
Dani previously exclusively revealed to The Sun how dad Danny was going to her man’s stag do in Vegas.
She told us how Jarrod thrilled Dani by seeking her da’s permission to ask for her hand in marriage.
“I always said to him: ‘If you ever propose, you have to ask my dad.’ So I love that he did. My mum knew for months, because she helped him with the ring. He rang my dad.
“He would have liked to have done it face to face, but he was away with football. And my dad was over the moon. He is an emotional man and he said: ‘I’ve done my job now.’”
Having a fiancé who is a Premier League footballer, not to mention in the England squad, means they have a narrow window to tie the knot and have set the date for next summer.
“We’ve found the venue, which is beautiful. It’s giving Bridgerton vibes. I want violins. I’m just praying it doesn’t rain. We’re getting married in the UK, so you never know!”
Dani is also planning a nod to Jarrod’s footballing achievements on the day to amuse the guests.
“Jarrod is very shy, so I’ve said: ‘You know when you walk into the reception after you’re married and everyone sings?
“We should walk into ‘Bowen’s On Fire’ [a football chant that’s a take on Gala’s Freed From Desire that West Ham fans sing when he scores].”
