BUCKSY DES EPEIRES (2.40 Leicester, nap)
Looks a typical French import that Venetia Williams does so well with. He was given time to settle in at the yard with a few spins over hurdles but he has really come into his own since jumping a fence. This six-year-old kicked off with a smooth success at Ascot in November before improving on that form despite finishing only second at Doncaster last time. He was behind The Kalooki Kid who went on to land the Scottish Champion Chase at Musselburgh earlier this month. That was a pretty smart effort and Charlie Deutsch gets back on board which is always a plus over fences.
GREEN SKY (1.40 Newcastle, nb)
Was third in a big field at Navan last time and should be too strong for these rivals. She stayed on well over the two-mile trip and won’t mind any cut in the ground. This looks a good chance to get off the mark.
CASA LOUPI (1.20 Sandown, treble)
Was impressive when scoring over course and distance last time. He is back with just a 3lb rise and he can hit the target again.
DRAMATIC LICENSE (4.30 Newcastle, Lucky 15)
Can give the double green silks a double on the Gosforth Park card. He has shown loads of promise when hitting the frame in two bumpers at Roscommon and Downpatrick. He was almost knocked over in the closing stages last time and can make up for that bad luck here.
