I make my dates take an IQ test so they don’t date me for my looks – I thought it was the best way to find Mr Right

A MODEL is making all of her dates take an IQ test to ensure they don’t judge her based solely on her looks.

Candice Kloss, 24, who boasts a high IQ of 136 and is a member of the high IQ society Mensa International, is currently on the hunt to find Mr Right.

However, she has encountered a significant hurdle: her unusual demand hasn’t worked in her favour.

Candice now admits that her method of finding “the one” – someone with the same IQ level as her – has, in fact, hindered her chances of finding love.

After three years of trying this approach, she has decided to abandon the intelligence test, now believing it was “totally unreasonable” to ask this of her dates.

She also confessed she grew tired of having to “carry heavy papers around.”

Candice, who “really regrets” using the tests, now acknowledges there’s a “possibility” she may have missed out on someone who “could’ve been Mr Right.”

Since abandoning the IQ test, she has already met a wider variety of people and is feeling optimistic about finding love again.

She says: “I feel less pressure, and dating has actually become more enjoyable now.

“I’ve come to realise that sometimes people might not know much about business or politics, but they know loads about another topic.

“It’s been really surprising.”

And while she still hasn’t met “the one,” she feels much more “positive about her chances.”

Candice also revealed that, on previous dates, she has even “corrected” men if they pronounced a word incorrectly – something that didn’t go down well.

Although she insists she’s “not trying to be a know-it-all,” she admits it might make men feel like they don’t have “the upper hand.”

Candice previously appeared on Good Morning Britain, where she revealed her habit of making her dates take an IQ test.

However, this left viewers in uproar revealing that if men don’t score an impressive 120 or above, Candice won’t give them her time, regardless of the level of attraction.

Speaking to Sussana Reid, she said: “I try to make it fun, like one of my guy friends makes his dates take a personality test, which is kind of fun, like are you introvert or extrovert? So I try to pass it off like that.”

Candice has never had a failure and thinks she can tell if someone will pass before testing them.

It didn’t go down well with GMB viewers.

One wrote on Twitter: “What a sad Lonely woman she will be for the rest of her life!! #IQtest.”

A second posted: “Is your IQ test going to keep you warm at night, or eat a cosy meal for two…..”

A third said: “Also a higher IQ doesn’t make people kind or nice people. I would take that any day over a test x.”

Bizarre dating rituals from around the world

China – Parents of single youngsters gather at weekend “marriage markets” where they swap details of their children. They put up posters with information on each singleton’s age, height, education, job, income, values and zodiac sign.

Japan – The modern way to date is in group blind dates called “gokon”. Typically, a single man and woman organise the gokon meeting, usually over dinner, and each invites three or four eligible friends.

South Korea – Singles meet in a practice called “sogaeting”, or blind dating. Family members or friends make the introductions, or sometimes matchmaking agencies are used. If a singleton likes someone, they must contact them immediately afterwards.

Iceland – The big dating worry for Icelanders — in a country of just 330,000 people — is accidentally romancing someone you’re related to. So there is a special app to see if you’re related. If you are on a date and both have the app, you can bump your phones together to discover any unwanted familial connections.

Latin America – As soon as you start dating someone, you are dating their family, too. From having to learn their language, to taking part in family events and traditions.

Myanmar – Young people often still live with their parents, whether they are single, in a relationship or even after they are married. For this reason, privacy is hard to come by.

Many new couples go to a nearby park with an umbrella that they use to kiss behind. As a result, umbrellas are seen as a very important accessory to own and are often expensive to buy.
