Gino D’Acampo ‘locked in feud with former pal Gordon Ramsay’ and ‘refuses to be cancelled’ by scandal
GINO D’Acampo is ‘locked in a feud’ with his former friend Gordon Ramsay as he ‘refuses to be cancelled’ amid his inappropriate behaviour scandal.
The under-fire chef has been accused by multiple women of “sexually inappropriate” and “intimidating” behaviour.
Gino, 48, has “firmly denied” all the allegations, which he called “deeply upsetting”.
As ITV cut all ties with the star, so has his former best pal Gordon Ramsay.
A source said how Gordon was left “horrified” by his behaviour and stopped talking to Gino two years ago.
Now it’s believed Gino is beginning his ‘fight back’ as he refuses to be ‘cancelled’ by the allegations against him.
Gino is said to be ‘incandescent with rage’ over reports that Gordon, 58, had raised concerns about the chef’s behaviour while they filmed their Road Trip series.
A source told the Daily Mail: “‘It’s quite clear that there has been briefing from a certain studio.”
They continued: “There has been a lot coming out about his time with Gordon Ramsay and it is very anti-Gino.
“One minute they are working together and the best of friends. Then he leaves the Road Trip series and he is basically finished within a couple of years.”
The insider added that Gino feels “hard done by” by people within ITV who have not defended him.
Refuting the allegations against him, Gino said in a statement: “I have been told by ITN news that allegations have been made about me acting inappropriately, some dating back over ten years ago.
“I have never been made aware of these matters previously and the allegations are firmly denied. I would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone.
“This is simply not in my nature. I do not recognise the version of events being put to me.
“Not only have these allegations never been raised with me before, I have been repeatedly supported by executives at the highest level and was commissioned on prime-time programmes during the period in which it is now suggested I was acting inappropriately.
“I am a father, husband and have worked with well over 1,500 people on around 80 productions in my career, which I have been so proud of.
“I take such matters extremely seriously and the suggestion that I have acted in an improper way against is deeply upsetting.”
