Love Island’s Toby reveals THREE dramatic reasons he quit All Stars talks before going in as a bombshell
TOBY Aromolaran has revealed the shock reasons he almost didn’t make an appearance on Love Island All Stars last year.
The 26-year-old first starred in the 2021 series of Love Island before making a surprise All Stars entrance.
But Toby has not admitted he didn’t he’d be a “good fit” for the line-up, which included winners Molly Smith and Tom Clare.
He said: “The girls were older than me. I kept saying to producers ‘who am I meant to go for?’
“I don’t want to go on another series and mess around. But if you put me in there with older women, that’s what’s going to happen. We’re at different life stages. It doesn’t work.”
Toby revealed initially bosses also had reservations about him doing the show, continuing: “The producers look carefully at bombshells and work out if they’ll be a good fit.
“I don’t think they saw me as a good fit either, so we agreed on that.”
And, shortly before the series was due to kick off, Toby was rushed to hospital and needed 10 stitches for a nasty gash in his eyebrow.
Toby said: “I also cut my eyebrow and needed stitches and the doctor told me I couldn’t be exposed to sun for two weeks. Plus my house sale in Essex was going through.”
While everything was telling Toby not to do the show, he did end up becoming a bombshell and coupled up with Georgia Steel.
They made it to the final but stunned fans when they split just weeks later.
Georgia, 26, later opened up about the break-up during an appearance on the EF it with Elma and Fran podcast.
She said: “It didn’t ever get really deep with Toby like. There’s only a few boys that I’ve really ever been in love with and unfortunately I wasn’t in love with Toby.
“So, it wasn’t a horrendous breakup or anything like that.
“It was just, obviously, I was a bit shocked. It was so soon, like we never really had the opportunity to grow or anything.”
