Big Brother legend hasn’t aged a day – 25 years since appearing on the first ever series of the iconic reality show
BIG Brother star Melanie Hill showed off her ageless looks – 25 years after finding fame on the reality show.
Mel, who was evicted after 57 days in fourth position on the first ever series, has gone on to become a mum to four kids.
The former marketing specialist, 50, said she applied for the fly-on-the-wall show because she was interested in the technical side of Big Brother.
She previously said: “I loved the cameras, the live feed, and editing 24 hours down to one show.”
The former housemate may be best remembered for her romance in the house and was dubbed the “series flirt”.
Melanie set a then-record of two million votes to be evicted after kissing both Andrew Davidson and Tom McDermott in series one.
She went on to have a three-year relationship with series three hunk Alex Sibley.
Melanie has since trained as a barrister and describes herself as being part of “a family of six humans and two dogs, living in London, on a zero-waste journey and addicted to vintage”.
Having reflected on her time on the show, Melanie previously said about her experience: “It was so tame. We had to grow our veg and look after chickens. I asked Anna if she thought anyone was watching because we were so boring!
“I remember one assault course task. Nick claimed to have been in the Army but it was like he had one leg, he was so uncoordinated. We were killing ourselves laughing.”
Melanie spoke about how her newfound fame took her by surprise after she was evicted.
She went on to say: “I was shell-shocked to have come out from the quiet house to such cacophony.
“People would follow me down the street. I was kind of demonised because people thought I was quite flirty and they didn’t like that.”
But she admitted it wasn’t all bad and added: “I “do love that I was part of the birth of reality television!”
Melanie was on the same series as Big Brother ‘villain’ ‘Nasty Nick’.
Nick Bateman was caught trying to influence nominations by writing names on a piece of paper.
He was thrown out and vilified by fans. But the ex-stockbroker bounced back with a media career.
He also wrote a book, Nasty Nick: How To Be A Right B*****d, and trained as a camera director.
Builder Craig Phillips went onto win the show after winning over the hearts of the nation.
Caig was working as a building company boss. He was hoping to win the £70,000 prize for Joanne Harris, a childhood friend with Down’s syndrome.
Craig launched a career as a DIY expert and hosted shows such as 60 Minute Makeover. He also set up his own production company doing makeover programmes.
