Gervonta Davis vs Lamont Roach odds: Bet on Davis vs Roach with our predictions
THE BOXING world will turn its eyes away from the Middle East and back towards the United States as Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis steps back in the ring in New York this weekend.
Davis will put his unbeaten record on the line against his compatriot Lamont Roach. Davis is the heavy favourite for the fight, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t some value in the betting markets. Let’s take a closer look in this Gervonta Davis vs Lamont Roach odds and betting preview.
Davis vs Roach odds
The bookies heavily back Gervonta Davis to extend his unbeaten record to 31 in Brooklyn this weekend. The match-winner markets present little value this weekend, with the odds firmly being in Tank’s favour.
- Gervonta Davis to win at 1/20 with bet365
- Lamont Roach to win at 12/1 with SBK
- Draw at 22/1 with BetMGM
Davis vs Roach betting tips
With the odds being so clearly stacked in Gervonta Davis’s favour, you will need to look at other markets this weekend. The following three bets all offer some value. However, the markets still heavily favour Davis, so it is worth stacking some of these up as a multi-bet or accumulator, especially with some of the free bets bookmakers offer.
Under 8.5 rounds
Gervonta Davis hasn’t earned himself the nickname Tank for no reason, and I fully expect him to get past Lamont Roach this weekend. Roach is no push-over, though, and while a Davis KO/TKO victory looks likely, I think Roach is more than capable of hanging in the ring for more than half of the fight. Davis had ended his three fights by stoppage, and this bet would have returned in two of them. You can bet on the fight to go under 8.5 rounds at 3/4 with SBK.

Gervonta Davis to win in Rounds 7-12 at 10/11 (bet365)
Sticking with this theme and looking for a little more value, we’ve got Gervonta Davis to win in rounds 7-12 on 10/11 with bet365. In a fight with very few decent value odds, this being essentially at evens is worth a punt. Davis is the clear favourite for this fight, as his 1/20 odds with bet365 suggest, so it is really a case of when and how. This bet would have returned in four of his last six fights, and given the calibre of his opposition this weekend, I think it offers value.

Fight to go the Distance
The bookies have this pegged as an incredibly one-sided fight, and while I don’t want to underplay Lamont Roach’s credibility too much, it is difficult to ignore Davis’s dominance throughout his career. Tank has a flawless record, winning all 30 of his fights and securing stoppages in 28 of them. It is difficult to fathom any outcome other than a Davis stoppage on Saturday. You can back this at 2/11 with BetMGM.
