Sunday Brunch hosts halt show as celebrity guest fails to turn up after attending the BRITs
SUNDAY Brunch was thrown into chaos today as a celebrity guest failed to turn up following a night at the BRITs.
Selling Sunset star Bre Tiesi, 33, was nowhere to be seen in the studio, despite being billed as one of the show’s guests.
Bre was set to join reality star Megan McKenna, G’Wed actor Jake Kenny-Byrne, author Liz Pichon, musician Antony Szmierek, and journalist Jon Ronson on the Channel 4 show.
But when the camera panned to her empty seat, host Tim Lovejoy had to step in with some “breaking news“.
Revealing she had spent the previous evening partying at the awards show, he said: “Breaking news, Bre from Selling Sunset is in the car and she’s at the hotel,” prompting a cheer in the studio.
“For anyone that doesn’t know, Bre was supposed to be on the show this morning, but she went to the BRITs last night. So, she is going to turn up when she turns up.
“But she’s a friend of ours, so we don’t mind. We just hope she manages to make it at some stage.”
Before schmoozing with music’s finest at the Warner afterparty, Bre presented Stormzy with the Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act award alongside Vick Hope on-stage.
Bre finally made it to the studio at 12:30pm, apologising to the hosts.
She said, “I am not well, sorry guys,” confessing that she had downed several tequila shots and didn’t get back to her hotel until 6am.
This isn’t the first time Bre’s Sunday Brunch appearances have made headlines, either.
During her last visit in November 2024, the show took an unexpected turn when co-host Simon Rimmer swore live on air.
Real estate agent Breana, who had only joined Selling Sunset the previous year, opened up about what it’s like filming the popular programme.
Tim and Simon were keen to find out all the juicy gossip, including if they use stylists on the show or not.
Bre admitted that she styles herself because she’s a “control freak” and thinks that she can do a better job.
Simon said: “Every episode, one of the highlights of the show is when you’re all arriving for work – it’s almost like that is the cat walk moment, isn’t it?
“I have to try and look behind the looks of ‘you look gorgeous’…
“When you’re really going… b***h.”
While Bre nodded, co-star Tim looked back at him in shock and asked: “Simon, what sort of language is that?!”
Bre said: “I was going to say I thought I wasn’t allowed to cus?!”
Tim told viewers: “I’m distancing myself from him.”
“It’s what they say, I can see it in your eyes!” Simon told Bre.
Tim then told viewers: “A swear word… I apologise to anyone…”
The reality star then confirmed: “It’s very much like that.”
While Selling Sunset fans know Bre for her sharp business skills and glamorous lifestyle, she’s also made headlines for her personal life.
She was previously married to NFL star Johnny Manziel, tying the knot in 2018 before splitting a year later.
Their divorce was finalised in 2021.
Bre welcomed the her son, who she shares with Nick Cannon, into the world in July 2022.
Simon and Tim were keen to know if her baby boy was going to be part of the next season.
Bre said: “He’s a natural. When the camera comes he’s just like ‘hi!’
“He just gets into it. He takes after his dad and I.”
