Ex-Putin MP Buvaysar Saitiev, 49, dies after ‘plunging from window’ in latest mysterious death to rock Russia

A FORMER Putin MP has died in Moscow after plunging from a window, it’s been reported.

Buvaysar Saitiev, 49, was found in a “serious condition” outside a building on Minskaya Street in the latest mystery death to rock Russia.

The ex-MP, who was also a three-time Olympic wrestling champion, reportedly had no visible injuries or blood.

A janitor who discovered Saitiev on the ground on Sunday said the circumstances were unclear.

He was rushed to hospital but passed away just nine days shy of his 50th birthday.

His widow, Indira Saitiev, told Moskovsky Komsomolets that she believed the fall was an accident.

She said he was not very injured by the fall itself, suffering a nondescript pelvic injury and rib fractures.

“The height was small, so the injuries were not that severe,” Indira explained.

But it soon became clear that the fall did not directly cause his death as reports indicated that Saitiev had suffered a cardiac arrest shortly before dying.

Makhmud Magomedov, executive director of the Freestyle Wrestling Federation of Dagestan, confirmed that lung issues Saitiev had been battling may have been exacerbated by medications he was taking.

He told TASS news agency: “The cause of death was cardiac arrest. He took medications that caused complications.

“His entire family was with him in Moscow, in the hospital.”

Saitiev, a towering 6ft figure from Dagestan, won nine world gold medals in freestyle wrestling before retiring in 2008.

His Olympic triumphs in 1996, 2004, and 2008 made him a legend in his sport.

He is survived by his wife and children.

MYSTERY DEATH WAVE

The death of Buvaysar Saitiev is just the latest in a troubling string of mysterious incidents involving high-profile Russian figures.

A series of deaths — many from falls out of windows — have cast a shadow over the Kremlin and raised suspicions about the safety of those connected to the Russian government and elite circles.

Just last month, Colonel Alexey Zubkov, an employee of the Russian Investigative Committee, survived a 40-foot fall from a bathroom window.

Despite his fall, Col. Zubkov was reportedly conscious and able to answer questions, but he was unable to explain what led to his plunge.

And weeks earlier, Artur Pryakhin, a 56-year-old official from Russia’s anti-monopoly service, was found dead after falling from a fifth-floor window in Petrozavodsk.

Despite early reports suggesting a suicide, the official investigation had not concluded, yet the media quickly circulated the claim that Pryakhin had taken his own life.

His death, just like the others, raised suspicions of foul play, especially as the cause remained murky.

Last October, Mikhail Rogachev, a 64-year-old oligarch and former vice-president of the Russian oil giant Yukos, died after falling from a 10th-floor window of his Moscow apartment.

Reports initially labeled the incident as a suicide, claiming he had cancer and left behind a note.

But those close to him vehemently denied these claims, insisting that he was in good spirits before his death and had shown no signs of being suicidal.

These deaths, while varied in their specifics, all share a chilling commonality: the sudden and often unexplained falls from windows.

The incidents have led to widespread speculation about whether these are tragic accidents, suicides, or something more sinister.

The deaths seem to disproportionately involve individuals with connections to Russia’s political or business elite — people who may have been seen as potential threats or liabilities by powerful forces.
