From song titles to martinis, espresso has been having its moment in the spotlight.

Aldi has jumped on this train to unveil an espresso martini egg.

The Infusionist Coffee & Caramel Egg-Fusion Martini Duo is unlike a typical Easter egg.

This decadent chocolate also comes with its own ready-to-drink cocktail can.

The egg is made from Fairtrade Belgian milk chocolate infused with caramel pieces.

This chocolate is also infused with ground coffee, giving eaters a caffeine kick.

People looking for some Easter booze can enjoy the 125ml cocktail tin.

The 140g duo will set shoppers back £9.99.

Aldi shoppers will be able to get their hands on this in store from 23 March.

This has not been the only amazing Easter offering made by the chain.

Aldi has dropped more luxury chocolate eggs.

This has included the Specially Selected Salted Blonde & Milk Chocolate Caramel Double Indulgence Egg.

The 300g treat will set shoppers back £11.99.

Aldi’s huge Easter chocolate range has also included some loved brand names for great prices.

The discount retailer slashed the price on on the smaller Cadbury’s eggs.

This has meant chocolate eggs like Freddo, Mini Eggs or Giant Buttons are scanning at tills for just £1.45.

For £3.45, shoppers can bag up a number of large eggs.

The Twirl, Creme Egg, Giant Buttons, Mini Eggs options are all available in store.

How to save money on chocolate

We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs…

Go own brand – if you’re not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you’ll save by going for the supermarket’s own brand bars.

Shop around – if you’ve spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.

Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.

They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.

Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.

So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.
