Ryan Thomas’ daughter Scarlett, 16, claps back at ‘nepo baby’ claims – but now viewers have yet another complaint
SHE may be just 16-years-old, but it’s clear that Scarlett Thomas is self-assured and isn’t afraid to clap back at haters.
After being accused of being a ‘nepo baby’, the daughter of soap legends Ryan Thomas, 40, and Tina O’Brien, 41, has now shared a confident attempt to silence trolls.
Posting on social media, Scarlett filmed herself in the passenger seat of a convertible car, as she mimed along to 1977 hit song Easy, by Commodores.
The brunette beauty wore a brown off-the-shoulder jumper and a pair of large, oversized sunglasses, whilst her hair blew in the wind.
Alongside the short clip, Scarlett revealed a comment she often receives from mean trolls: “You only got these opportunities because of your family.”
But the young actress was eager to snap back at those who doubt her and judge her for her success.
To this, Scarlett snapped: “God forbid a girl takes the changes she gets.”
It comes after Scarlett, who has previously been described as the ‘ultimate soap nepo baby’, could be on track to make at least £2million before she’s even 18.
Not only has Scarlett been branded a “real life Disney princess” by her famous uncle Scott Thomas, but the youngster, who was just 14 when she landed her role in Waterloo Road, is sure to receive yet more “fabulous opportunities”, just like her cousin Teddy, 10.

“Teddy is clearly talented, and it seems the children in the family will follow in their fathers’ footsteps. Scarlett often appears in videos with her dad and uncles, showcasing her singing and acting skills.
“With both parents in TV, their talent has clearly rubbed off on Scarlett. She comes across as a confident and likeable girl who is close to her family.
“The Thomas family videos are strategically leveraging each other’s personalities and showcasing their talents to millions daily.

As well as this, Scarlett’s dad Ryan has previously said it’s “not easy” seeing his daughter grow up, but has made it clear just how proud he, and the whole family, are of her.
After her Waterloo Road debut, he gushed: “Talk about a proud moment for the Thomases!”
While Ryan is yet to address the ‘nepo baby’ talk, Scarlett’s uncle, Adam Thomas, has said: “As a family we like to be centre of attention and are clowning around all the time, and Teddy and Scarlett both have that abundance, they just love it. Teddy is like a sponge. He sees Scarlett and he just does whatever she does. He just wants to be in it more.
“If I can help put a foot through the door then I’m going to do it.”
Social media users react
Scarlett’s TikTok clip, which was posted on the 16-year-old’s official account @scarlettjthomas26, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as at the time of writing, it had quickly amassed 156,700 views in just 16 hours.
Not only this, but it also racked up 11,000 likes and 62 comments too.
Despite the hate Scarlett is often susceptible to, her followers eagerly raced to the comments to share messages of love and support for the youngster.
