Napoli president De Laurentiis fed up with state of San Paulo
Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has again declared his disappointment with the state of the San Paulo.
De Laurentiis is pushing local government to improve the stadium.
“I'm forever grateful to our fans, despite the difficulties. The stadium, for example: the law is a disaster.
“We'll try to remodel it with other functions if the mayor will give us the opportunity. Stadiums should be sold to the clubs for a symbolic Euro, and they can then make them productive.
“Firstly, the tickets cost too much, I'd never want the fans to pay so much, but unfortunately it's not up to me.
“We have to create installations to entertain the fans for more than the 90 minutes, which would allow us to amortise the cost of maintenance.
“My duty is to reinforce Napoli. We've been in Europe for six years, but we'd like to stay in the Champions League for longer.
“Unfortunately there's a lot of competition, but we have to improve in spite of that. In the summer, many didn't believe in my choices, but they turned out to be the best."
