Wrighty slams BOTTLERS Arsenal aftter Southampton humiliation

Arsenal legend Ian Wright questioned the title bottle of the players after their thrashing at Southampton.

Arsenal had the chance to move to the top of the Premier League, following Leicester's defeat by Liverpool at Anfield, but squandered the opportunity to leapfrog their rivals.

Wright, speaking on BT Sport, said of his former side: "I think the worst Arsenal should have left there with is a draw.

"My mistake at half-time was thinking that I was in that dressing room. I would go in that dressing room and then be coming out and really try to prove something. My mistake is thinking that those players think like I do.

"Leicester [are having an] unbelievable season, no one is expecting them to be where they are, they are doing it but they lost [against Leicester] so we have to see how they go.

"Manchester City, you know they are going to come. Arsenal had to get something out of this game because it was a great opportunity for them and the worse you can do is draw that game.

"They've lost it and it could have been by five or six. It's very disappointing for Arsenal fans. I'm very disappointed and I'm angry because it's a great opportunity missed."
