AWKWARD! Ex-Man Utd striker Chicharito wins 2nd Bundesliga Player of Month award

Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez has won a second consecutive Bundesliga Player of the Month award.

Former Manchester United striker Chicharito has won the Bundesliga Player of the Month for December having won the same prize in November.

The Bayer Leverkusen star has scored 19 in 22 appearances since his £12 million move from Old Trafford in the summer, including an impressive seven just in December.

United, by contrast, have struggled in front of goal all season, with Louis van Gaal's anaemic style of play earning criticism from many ex-players.

Hernandez, who scored 50 times in his first three campaigns in the Premier League, spent last season at Real Madrid but was only given limited opportunities to impress his manager at the start of the year, most notably missing a penalty against Club Brugge.
