Jenna Bush Hager Receives Shrödinger’s Bob
Jenna Bush Hager’s new haircut is not yet good or bad: It’s both. Inspired by guest host Leslie Bibb’s now-famous White Lotus bob, Hager decided to cut off her own live on Jenna & Friends. Celebrity hairstylist Chris McMillan was there to do the physical cutting, while Bibb was there for emotional support. And Hager needed it. “Holy moly,” Hager said as the cameras zoomed in on her fearful smile. “So Chris is still cutting, he’s gonna continue to cut. And then tomorrow you guys tune in and you’ll see the whole look.”
Rapunzel in the front and Bibb in the back, Hager promised viewers that they could see her final hair tomorrow. Just like Schrödinger’s cat, which was neither alive nor dead, while the world has not yet seen the new ’do, Hager’s severe bob is simultaneously hot and not.
Though Hager is clearly freaking out throughout the bobbing, Bibb seems thrilled by what’s happening. When Hager looks outside at the crowd, she remarks: “They’re telling me not to do it!” But Bibb shuts them down, shouting, “No!” in response. “You are such a badass,” she promises Hager. “You’re so cool.” Then, as the cameras are cutting away at the end of the episode, Bibb shouts, “It looks so cool!” Check back on June 17 to learn if the bob was good idea — maybe Reese Witherspoon will do it next season on The Morning Show.
