Are Megan and Jordan From Love Is Blind Still Together?

Love Is Blind season nine made history by resulting in no marriages, but Megan Walerius and Jordan Keltner went the extra mile as the only couple in the wedding episode to not even make it to a wedding. In the October 22 finale, Walerius broke up with Keltner before they could make it down the aisle, leading with the explanation that they’re just too different — he’s a regular guy who likes to eat the same things every day, and that’s not exactly the vibe of a rich businesswoman who calls herself Sparkle Megan. Nothing feels regular about those chicken smoothies he chugged, but we digress.

The couple had faced struggles earlier in the season. In Baja, Walerius found Keltner annoying at the group party; once back in Denver, she wanted him to talk more about his work as a service manager or, generally, fill the silence more. Meanwhile, Keltner said Walerius was sometimes “abrasive” with her communication and should be more understanding about him feeling tired and having a less flexible schedule because of work.

Unlike a certain mamacita on Love Island, Keltner never gatekept the fact that he was a single parent — in fact, he jumped at every chance in the pods to discuss his son, Luca, who has the same type of diabetes as Walerius’s late father. But Walerius said she didn’t fully understand the sacrifices she would have to make to be with someone who has a kid. She wanted a partner who could spend more time doing activities with her, noting in a confessional that the experience made her question whether she was too caught up in her own life to be a mom. (Given recent paparazzi photos, she at least seems to be comfortable having a baby in her house.) Keltner pointed to money as an issue, telling producers he thought Walerius would’ve married him if he had enough extra income to hang out with her more — and adding that he regretted introducing her to Luca.

In an appearance on Love Is Blind alum AD Smith’s podcast last week, Keltner suggested that Walerius wanted more time with him when he was “spread so thin” as a single parent with a “very demanding” schedule. Just like in the show, he didn’t offer up too many concrete details about his work. But he did seem happy to talk about his new side gig: being an author. Keltner is currently promoting Dear Luca, a children’s book that he co-wrote and hopes will “help kids grow up with emotional intelligence” and “empower parents to have meaningful conversations,” according to his Instagram. Who knows? Maybe it’ll be such a hit that he’ll become as rich as the men Walerius was used to dating. Before the finale aired, he still had nice things to say about his ex-fiancée, telling Smith that he’s never been in a relationship where they “operated so fluidly as a team” and that Walerius was able to bring emotional vulnerability out of him “in a way that no other woman has ever been able to do.” Sounds like any future applicants to be Luca’s stepmom will have to shine even brighter.
