Questions We Need Answered at the Love is Blind Reunion
After this season, we know two things are certain: love isn’t blind, and we need answers about what is going on with this year’s Love Is Blind cast. The Denver pod squads filmed sometime around the Spring of 2024, so there’s been over a year’s worth of updates to catch up on, like possibly new matches from the cast, engagement ring whereabouts, and even baby rumors. Everyone’s been pretty busy in Denver, and with the reunion coming out this week, the cast has high expectations to deliver on Wednesday. Below, all the gossip we need clarity on from Love Is Blind season nine.
Are Madison and Anton dating?
TikTok seems to think so. After Madison Maidenburg posted her revenge-dress reunion outfit on Instagram, Anton Yarosh was the only male cast member to comment — and he left two side-eye emojis, leading fans to believe there’s some flirting happening behind the scenes. Madison responded with a heart emoji to him, and later she commented “???? lol” on a video about the rumors. Besides social media comments, they were seen hanging out together with other cast members, even if the finger-pointing pose from Anton is incredibly platonic.
Does Sparkle Megan have a sparkle baby?
A few days before the reunion is set to air, we got paparazzi pictures of Megan Walerius, a mystery man, and an even more mysterious baby coming out of her house in Denver. Megan teased a “little bit of a surprise” during the reunion trailer, so we’ll probably get an answer to who the little human is.
Did Patrick upgrade Kacie’s engagement ring?
Patrick Suzuki probably didn’t, but that doesn’t mean he still wants to let Kacie McIntosh keep the ring. Bridal Rings Company, where Netflix gets its standard engagement rings on the show, posted everyone’s rings on Instagram except Kacie and Patrick’s. But during the proposal, Patrick used the company’s ring box to propose with. Maybe the company is just trying to hype up an eventual ring reveal. Another scenario is that Patrick brought his own ring to propose with and just borrowed a ring box. Considering how important the ring was to Patrick based on his TikTok, if he’d paid for it himself rather than Netflix, he should have mentioned that to prove further why he should have the ring back.
Another jewelry brand estimated that a ring like the one Patrick gave Kacie, based on brief clips of it, may retail for around $35,000 — way over Netflix’s budget. There is no confirmation yet of the true cost of Kacie’s ring. It doesn’t mean it’s not possible to get a more expensive piece of jewelry from Netflix. “If they want to upgrade their rings, they’re welcome to do that,” show creator Chris Coelen explained logistics to EW. “We have nothing to do with that. We give them the rings, they do what they want.” Kacie told Vulture that he “didn’t even purchase” the ring when defending her decision to keep it, but maybe she didn’t know whether he brought his own, if he did. Either way, will someone share a gift receipt so we can finally lay this to rest?
Will Joe talk about his off-screen girlfriend?
Yeah, we’ve already gotten to the point where they’re starting to reveal new partners from the cast. Joe Ferrucci, who now hosts a dating podcast, met his current girlfriend and dating coach, Averee, through another cast member, Kait (who’s close with Madison), last summer. They didn’t start dating until November, after Joe dated Kacie. But similarly to Madison (and Patrick), she’s not a fan of her. “That’s not what I want in a room with me, and I guess all I’ll say is, like, Joe getting a girlfriend did not stop her from continuously trying,” Averee told the Reality Receipts podcast. “It was just one of those [things] where she just wanted to know, I think, that she could have him or, like, get him still.” She is friendly with Madison, and they even follow each other on social media. Averee teased that despite her fiery interviews, she lets Joe off easy during the reunion — but that doesn’t mean everyone else will get the same treatment.
