Much of Helene remnants pass southward
A cold front approaching from the west will spread rain showers across the area overnight Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. The front may tap a bit of limited leftover moisture from the remnants of Helene.
Wednesday will be a day of weather improvement. Lingering morning rain showers wind down early, then expect clearing, especially for the afternoon. Right now, it appears as though a tranquil pattern will prevail late week and into a lot of the upcoming weekend. More seasonable temperatures are likely midweek. A more significant cool shot moves in early next week.
