Bill to protect AM radio being reintroduced by Senators Markey and Cruz

Senator Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.), member of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, and Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Chairman of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, decided to reintroduce a bill on Wednesday called, “The AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act.” If passed, the legislation would direct the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to require vehicle manufacturers to continue to include AM radios in all vehicles at no charge. Not only is AM relied upon for news, national security, and the safety of the American people, it also includes broadcast messages of faith, family and freedom, according to a press release from the NRB.

“I will protect the content that is pro-God,” Trump said during the 2024 NRB convention. “To that end, at the request of the NRB, I will do my part to protect AM radio in our cars.”
