RFK Jr. demands to know if dems really believe 900 billion sent to Medicaid yearly truly helps Americans
During a Senate Finance Committee confirmation hearing on Thursday, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. insisted that Americans don’t like Obamacare and would choose to have private insurance if they could afford it, according to Politico. He demanded to know if democrats really believed that “the $900 billion dollars that we’re sending to Medicaid every year has made Americans healthy?”
Some democrats laughed when he said that Americans don’t like Obamacare, don’t like Medicaid, and would prefer to be on private insurance, but a Gallop Poll from December found that he was actually right. Gallop found that 49 percent of Americans prefer private insurance, and 46 percent want a government-run system.
Kennedy challenged the committee to find ways to improve care, particularly for the elderly, veterans, and the poor in this country. He claimed that the current model of Medicaid isn’t working.
