Trump declaring tariffs will be placed on oil, pharmaceuticals and semiconductors
President Trump apparently wanted to sleep on the idea first before announcing it. It was just yesterday when he said 25 percent tariffs would be placed on Canada and Mexico over the weekend, and he was pondering if he wanted to include oil. Not only is he including oil, but also pharmaceuticals and semiconductors, according to The Hill. However, Canadian oil is only getting slapped with a 10 percent tariff, which will also start on Saturday.
Other countries on whom he wants to place oil and gas tariffs will likely have until February 18.
President Trump also intends to place tariffs on E.U. goods.
