President Trump pauses tariff terrors for Canada and Mexico
Canada and Mexico were likely feeling some terror over a 25 percent tariff that President Trump was planning to levy on them. He agreed to pause the tariff on each country for 30 days if they will put their troops on the border. He wants Canadian troops to watch for and prevent organized crime and fentanyl from coming over the border.
The agreement with Mexico is similar. Trump wants 10,000 Mexican soldiers on the border to stop the flow of the flow of fentanyl and illegal immigrants from coming over the border, according to The Hill.
“As President, it is my responsibility to ensure the safety of ALL Americans, and I am doing just that. I am very pleased with this initial outcome, and the Tariffs announced on Saturday will be paused for a 30 day period to see whether or not a final Economic deal with Canada can be structured. FAIRNESS FOR ALL!” Trump posted online.
