‘Just so delicious’: Watch E. Jean Carroll go on unhinged rant about taking ‘revenge’ on Trump
Former Elle Magazine writer E. Jean Carroll went on a rant Tuesday about how she plans to seek retribution against President Donald Trump by deliberately attempting to anger him.
A jury awarded Carroll $83.3 million in damages in her defamation trial against Trump in January 2024. During an interview on former MSNBC host Katie Phang’s YouTube channel, Carroll said she intends to use the money she has been awarded — which she has not yet received — to support causes she believes will enrage Trump, gushing about how much pleasure she would attain from doing so.
“I know my own pleasures, and … that doesn’t involve buying things. Where my pleasure comes is making him so pissed off he can’t think. We need to prick his little balloon constantly, and one of the ways to do that is to give his money to women’s reproductive rights,” Carroll said. “To binding up the wounds of democracy, which he is destroying by the very instant that we’re sitting here. Shoring up voting rights — can you imagine how angry he takes this?”
“Well, he made $600 million last year on Bitcoin. And as [lawyer] Robbie [Kaplan] says, do you know anybody except criminals who make money on Bitcoin? No. Do we? We don’t,” she continued. “Anyway, so it’s just so delicious thinking about how pissed off he’ll be, how angry that his own personal money is going to help women. Ah, heaven. Heaven. It’s the revenge that we all love.”
Carroll previously sued Trump for rape and defamation, alleging he raped her in a dressing room at Manhattan’s Bergdorf Goodman department store in 1995 or 1996. A jury found Trump liable for battery and defamation — but not rape — and awarded Carroll $5 million in damages in May 2023.
She later sued Trump for alleged defamatory remarks he made about her in 2019 and for calling her a “whack job” during a May 2023 CNN town hall after the first verdict, resulting in the $83.3 million judgment. Trump also called Carroll’s story “fake” and asserted he had “never met her” or had any idea who she was during the town hall.
Trump railed against both verdicts against him in a January 2024 Truth Social post.
“Absolutely ridiculous! I fully disagree with both verdicts, and will be appealing this whole Biden Directed Witch Hunt focused on me and the Republican Party,” he wrote. “Our Legal System is out of control, and being used as a Political Weapon. They have taken away all First Amendment Rights. THIS IS NOT AMERICA!”
