‘Well, that didn’t take long’: Islamic call to prayer loudly broadcast on New York City streets

Just weeks ago, New York City residents, including large populations of immigrants, elected a Muslim, Zohran Mamdani, the city’s new mayor.

He immediately praised his own religion as the one true faith, and now there are being broadcast into city streets, in multiple locations, the Islamic call to prayer, up to five times a day.

Actor James Woods, who commentary attracts as much attention these days as his other life accomplishments, pointed out, “Well, that didn’t take long…”

Comments that were posted after the Gateway Pundit released a report on the Islamic agenda including, “We. Told. You. So.”

And “This is what you asked for.”

And, “Public stonings.”

And, “Obama called it a beautiful thing.”

But a number of videos were posted, with comments showing the shock of New Yorkers at the development.

Commentator Amy Mek explained online, “My lord, America – the conquest we’ve warned about is exploding now. The Adhan isn’t a ‘beautiful call to prayer’; it’s a militant declaration: ‘Allahu Akbar’ (Allah is greater than your gods, laws, freedoms), ‘There is no god but Allah’ (all other faiths are false). Blared 5× daily from loudspeakers – 5 AM wake-ups included – it’s forced submission on non-Muslims, pure civilizational jihad straight from the Muslim Brotherhood playbook.”

Reports confirmed that there already are complaints from residents of Astoria, Brooklyn and Manhattan about the offensive noise from the Islamic broadcasts.

The agenda actually, reports confirmed, began under former Mayor Eric Adams in 2023, who allowed some calls to prayer broadcast. Under Mamdani, that apparently has been expanded, actually “supercharged,” according to some.

There already was one suggestion for responding: Do as the Scottish have done, playing bagpipes during the Muslim call to prayer.

One international organization that promotes itself as an answer to all business needs, UMVA, said, “The increase in broadcasts has sparked concern and frustration among many New Yorkers. Complaints are mounting, particularly in areas with large Muslim populations like Astoria, Brooklyn, and throughout Manhattan, as the volume and frequency of the calls grow.”

The report explained how the Islamic statements, are “interpreted by some as declarations of dominance and a rejection of other beliefs.”

It explained, “The growing frequency of these broadcasts is described by some as a form of ‘civilizational jihad,’ a deliberate attempt to reshape the cultural landscape of the city. This perspective views the situation as a calculated move, rooted in a specific ideological agenda.”
