Days after Kerala assembly passed a resolution demanding that the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Act be scrapped, chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday sent letters to 11 non-BJP chief ministers asking them to take similar steps. He stressed the need for joint efforts to lend more strength to the demand for repealing the Act as well as against the proposed nationwide roll-out of National Register of Citizens (NRC).
