Onion supplies are expected to be remain under pressure during January and February with domestic production in 2020 expected to top the 2019 level only in March, providing relief to consumers complaining of high prices of the kitchen staple. Estimates available with the Centre suggested that production in January is expected to be one-third lower than the corresponding period last year.
