Kumar Sangakkara was captain of the Sri Lankan team that was attacked on their way to the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore during a Test match against Pakistan in 2009. Recalling the incident, Sangakkara said that it was their team bus driver who was the hero as he managed to drive the team away from the area.
