3 women’s tournament snubs (Miami!) that are a real bummer for March Madness fans
March gives hope and it also takes it away.
While 68 women’s college basketball teams got to celebrate their entries into the NCAA tournament on Sunday night (except for an annoyed Kim Mulkey), a few other squads were let down by not appearing in the final bracket.
Teams like Columbia were on the right side of the bubble on the night of Selection Sunday, but several others weren’t. And bid-stealers like Portland made it even tougher for major conference teams hanging around the fringes of the bubble to earn an at-large bid.
