But her time away from the studio lights doesn’t seem to be going quite as well.
According to the Mail Online, Adlington was greeted with a nasty surprise when a mouse leapt at her in her hotel apartment.
The four-time Olympic medal winner was reportedly left shrieking as it jumped into her hands and then hid in one of her kitchen cupboards.
Before she then rushed to pack up her bags and leave the room, being helped into another room by hotel staff.
Fans watching on from home have loved Adlington’s pool-side analysis from the aquatics centre.
And the retired swimmer has certainly been throwing herself in at the deep end, showing her emotional side at some of the incredible stories of the summer games.
Adlington was reduced to tears after Team GB hero Adam Peaty secured a silver medal in the men’s 100m breaststroke event.
