Fans ask ‘how can you not love him?’ after Haaland’s blunt eight-word response to reporter’s fantasy football question
HOW can you not love Erling Haaland – even if he does not care about your fantasy football team?
The Manchester City ace shut down a reporter with a brutally witty eight-word response to a Premier League fantasy football question.

And most footie fans around the country reaped the benefits of having the double Golden Boot winner run rampant against the newly-promoted side.
Around nine of out ten fantasy football managers would have captained the Norwegian striker on the second Gameweek.
Captains score double points and strikers are typically awarded four points per goal and gain an additional three for being the best-rated player – so most Haaland owners bagged 34 points on Saturday.
The reporter asked him: “What was your favourite goal from today.”
Before the 24-year-old said: “I liked all of the four.”
The journalist then quizzed: “I’ve got a fantasy league with my friends and we all captained you today apart from one guy. We’ve all been laughing at him today. What’s your message to the guy who left you out?”
To which Haaland replied: “Yeah it’s sad for him and I don’t care”, before grinning.

And fans were left amused with the light-hearted encounter.
One wrote on X: “HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE HIM!”
A second said: “Haaland is brilliant. He honestly doesn’t care.”
A third replied: “Winning mentality. Lets be honest we all have in our fantasy teams.”
Haaland also hilariously jabbed at Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella after the champions stormed to a 2-0 victory at Stamford Bridge last Sunday.
The battle between the pair came to the surface after Cucurella sang a cheeky song mocking Haaland in the wake of Spain’s Euro 2024 victory.
When Haaland was asked about the Blues star after their season opener, he delivered an amusing dig at the 26-year-old.
He told Viaplay: “Well, Cucurella is a funny man. Last season he asked for my shirt… and this summer he sings a song about me.”
Changes to the Premier League for 2024/25
NOTHING stays the same forever.
And that includes the Premier League, which is making a number of tweaks this season.
Team news will now be released 75 MINUTES before kick-off, 15 minutes earlier than had been the case before.
Things could get crowded on the touchline, with the number of substitutes permitted to warm-up boosted from three players per team to FIVE.
There’s also a change to how added time is calculated when a team scores a goal, an update to the ‘multiball’ system and the introduction of semi-automated offsides – but not straight away.
