High school football rankings Week 4, 2024: Bay Area News Group Top 25
Archbishop Mitty, projected to finish last in the West Catholic Athletic League, entered the rankings after a stellar non-league run.
Another WCAL team, St. Ignatius, jumped several spots after going on the road and defeating San Diego powerhouse Cathedral Catholic.
California also made a leap after taking down Monterey Trail-Elk Grove to improve to 3-0.
The top 10 remains mostly unchanged, although Wilcox climbed to No. 10 after routing formerly-ranked Sacred Heart Cathedral at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco.
St. Francis and Archbishop Riordan switched spots after Riordan pushed No. 2 Pittsburg to the brink, and the Lancers were crushed by No. 1 De La Salle.
