Rece Davis shares why Lee Corso won't be on College GameDay at Ohio State-Oregon

After making its first trip to Berkeley last week for California-Miami, ESPN’s beloved College GameDay pregame show is heading back to the West Coast in an absolutely loaded Week 7 slate.

Oregon is hosting the show yet again for its matchup against Ohio State, the first major early season test for both teams which could have serious Big Ten title and College Football Playoff implications.

Unfortunately for fans of College GameDay, there’s one staple of the show that won’t be making the trip out west yet again: host Lee Corso, who did not appear during the broadcast at Cal last week.

During an interview with Zac Neel of Ducks Wire, co-host Rece Davis said that Corso has been feeling “under the weather” the last few weeks and, though he’s feeling better, he won’t make the trip to Eugene.

“He’s not going to be here this week. He’s doing better. He’s been a little bit under the weather for the last couple of weeks. I talked to him earlier, and he said he was sorry he was missing his best friend, The Duck.”

Corso has had plenty of opportunities to become acquainted with The Duck over the years as College GameDay will make its 12th all-time appearance at Oregon on Saturday. That ranks as the sixth most appearances for any school.
