When was the last time Alabama football lost consecutive regular-season games?

0

The Alabama Crimson Tide football program is a historical powerhouse, so it’s been a while since it lost back-to-back regular-season games.

The last time Alabama football lost consecutive regular-season games was during Nick Saban’s first season with the Crimson Tide in 2007. They finished with a 7-6 record, in part thanks to a four-game losing streak going into bowl season.

NICK SABAN’S COACHING TREE: List of former Saban assistants who are current or former head coaches

Overall, the last time Alabama lost back-to-back games was in the 2013-14 season when it first lost to Auburn with the infamous kick-six finale in November 2013 and then fell to Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl in January 2014.

Now retired, Saban had a 20-7 overall record following a loss with Alabama. More from the Tuscaloosa News noted Saturday:

The 2010, 2019 and 2022 seasons were the only seasons Saban lost two or more games during the regular season. But Saban’s teams responded each time with a victory in the next game.
